I have checked the Oil level many times and it is fine. I believe the problem may be Oil Level Sensor, from what I can gather from google searches and information given to me by the previous owner. If this is the case then it looks like an expensive Job and funds are very limited. Is there any way I can disconnect it, or remove a fuse or something to stop the dashboard beeping at me everytime I go out? I can monitor the Oil myself but the warning noise is driving me crazy!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Richard

The sensor is at rear of the engine and the engine has to be lowered to gain access to it, if you were gonna do all that work to disconnect it, you might as well replace it, unplugging will give you a warning light all the time......

Might be able to disable it via STAR?

What would this be please? I am a first time Owner and have little mechanical experience.

You will need to take it to somone who has the MB STAR diagnostics computer, it may be possible to turn off the oil sensor. Most good MB independants / specialists will have one.

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs but when you say you have checked the oil level where abouts on the dipstick was the oil level

As these cars if they are filled to the maximum mark when cold when it warms up it causes high oil level light to come on

Thanks, The Oil Level is at Maximum but the warning is telling me it has 1.5L too little Oil in it. I am also informed by the previous owner that it has been doing it for years with varying Oil levels.
