Mercedes A45 2014 Without gears consult workshop

First the Car started with the error message Cant reverse consult workshop and this used to go away usually when u shut the car off and let it idle After taking the Car for a gearbox oil change and them trying to Adapt the Car the car would would fail the adaption

now im left with 2 Error Codes

p287c and p0921

Ive Taken the car to MB and they want to change the valve body and Are saying this is what could ve causing this mess

Why i am Making this post Is To know if anyone has encountered the same mess and what fixed it for them or If Anybody knows what could be causing this.

As im left with 2 options Change the gearbox or the valve body and hope for the best

it certainly reads like theres an issue with electronics / pressure control , though i cant say ive ever heard of your specific issue before

allegedly early iterations of VAG and Ford gearbox control modules on their DSG boxes play up

DSG = a sensible acronym VW have for what they all use - a dual clutch, dual manual gearbox, controlled by a computer that almost operates as well as a proper automatic - but with lots of extra cost options at repair time

if you research I expect you'll come across all Merc designed to fail extras inside the units - Ford and VW certainly added LOTS and LOTS of hell for owners - all of which with quite some spannering can be overcome for sensible cost - the latest manu lies - is pretending they said, must use our oil and must change at these intervals - its just distraction and fake get out of jail cards - for the hideous designed to fail mess they put in there on purpose

I forget which one of them, its basically strip the world just to get at the module and do the 5p repair...
there will be lots of people in Poland and Lithuania happily repairing for $200 but over here most are going to be throwing 6k at them

For this fault, do this in the following order :

1. Software update if not on current version, there was a patch to fix this
2. Gearbox oil change and level check the re adapt.
3. Valve body replacement

Im past the first and second step

Next week ill Replace the valve body

Mb is charging me around 1600 dollars just for the part so thats without labour So Basically what i wanted to know is that Expensive?

And second Question would be Is there a chance that if i replace the valve body the problem would still persist?

is it failing adaption Because of the valve body Being Bad?

and is the fault code p0921 Related to the valve body?

Can't say, hopefully to the first one! Adaptions won't complete if the valves are sticking.

Positions of actuators and solenoids

Don't quite get that actuators are presumably screwed or bolted to a case, as I presume are solenoids.
I chance plse send schematic.

Being a dct, it needs to know the position of the shift forks etc. These are monitored with sensors. I will dig one out when I remember

So the forks at not mechanically fixed. More f sensors. I sure not a fan of them. If fitted externally not so bad.

So mb Have changed The valve body And theyre saying The problem still remains and That they need to contact MB in germany What could be The issue?
