Hi all,
I'm looking for advice having just purchased 2nd hand 2016 B class B180SE auto. Diesel 1.5. (the one with Renault engine) having originally been looking at a C220d but decided against that due to feedback on adblue etc.
So, this B class B180SE I have now purchased low mileage, full dealer service history and looks immaculate........
Its low mileage at only 25,300 and has a full Mercedes dealer service history (The same dealer throughout with 7 services from 2017 to last year). Next service due is in July 24 and is the B service. Also the car will be due a timing belt at 10 years i.e. July 2026.
I spoke with the Mercedes main dealer who had serviced the car from 2017 for the previous owner and they are offering me a service plan which includes 3 year service plan, 3 services and 3 MOT's. Plan cost is around £45 a month, total of £1476 and they say that will include this next B service, an A service then another B service, and will also include the cost of doing the timing belt at its due date I presume on the B service July 26.
This is my 1st Mercedes car and I wanted to get advice if this is a good offer? especially as they say the timing belt will be done, with that cost included as part of the plan, at its due date 2026? or should I opt for a Mercedes independent who might save me money? I am in the north east and I did google Mercedes independents and found a couple who do have good reviews..
The main dealer service plan sounds like a fair option but I would welcome your views on the service plans.
Appreciate your feedback thanks
