mercedes benz 1995 c220 auto petrol

I have recently purchased a 1995 c220, but the blower for the ventilation is very poor even when on number 4 setting.I have taken the blower motor out of its housing and that is working fine but there is hardly any air coming through any of the vents on any setting, please could you advise on any possible solution many thanks!

how did you verify the blower motor was working ok exactly ?

and did you check the controls themselves, perhaps they are borked

or lastly the vents may not be connected properly if someone disassembled prior to you owning it

Agree with Star, have you checked your pollen filter?,removal described in here;http://202tech.mkosonen.com/howto/blower.html ; cover your carpet with newspaper or you will drop all the filth onto it like I did.

top advice ! the filter was totaly blocked ! thankyou very much ! i`ve been for a replacement filter and the dealer said that the part comes as a kit is there more than one filter on this model ?

I can assure you there is only one pollen filter on your car, available from ;http://www.eurocarparts.co.uk/ or most motor factors much cheaper than the main dealer for the same part.
