Hiya,
I wonder if anybody would be able to help me please ?
I get a coolant warning light come up on the dash only when I use the air conditioning. The coolant level is correct, so it’s not low. Also the temperature gauge on the dash lowers rather that the familiar goes up ie thermostat gone. There is other symptoms but I’m not sure if they are related. Ie the temperature on the drivers side ‘sometimes is warmer than the passenger side. Any ideas or recommendations would be gladly received!! Thank you!!

Hello and welcome

Duo valve sticking can lead to differences in temp - giving them a “tap” can free them off, but cleaning / replacing is the long term fix.

You might have a leaking heater matrix as well

Thank you very much!! That was fast !! I’m not familiar with a duo valve or where it is on this car. I’m guessing it’s a solenoid valve ?

Duo valve is towards the bulkhead in the engine bay (usually).

Does it say "COOLANT, Check level!" OR "COOLANT! Visit Workshop!"

The former means level sensor
The latter means the fan module is not responding correctly (usually)
