Hello .. I own a 2006 e350 Mercedes Benz wagon and I am looking to buy some parts and would like more information on.

1. If I want to install a supercharger on its 3.5L v6 would it be possible because I can’t seem to find anything compatible unless there’s a such thing as a universal supercharger.
2. Should I rebuild the engine first with stronger material like refurbishing the stock parts with stronger stuff or can I just plop a supercharger with all the components needed and I’ll be fine with some tuning.
3. Last question is if I take off the mufflers and resonators and the pipe is only half way through the car will that be dangerous or will I have to straight pipe it. Thank you!

Hello and welcome

I’m presuming it’s a petrol, so the M272 engine. They can suffer with balance shaft issues and yours might be in the range (easy enough to check online with your vin)

I believe Kleeman did one, although at 9,000 eur with the ecu I doubt they sold many…

Easier and probably cheaper to buy a 55 or 63

I'd be loathe to "just plop on a supercharger".

Superchargers introduce a lot of mechanical stress on an engine and reliability will be compromised. Transmission in particular could be a concern.

As above just find an AMG. Much cheaper in the long run and you know everything is made to work together.

You can always trade your e350 in on my SL55 AMG Though I think there might be a lot of miles between us

I would be inclined to get the car you want yours to be as opposed to chopping and changing yours as it may make it harder to sell on later unless of course its a keeper.
