Mercedes C200 1996 - Not starting

I have aproblem with my c200, when I lock the car it does but the red led on the mirror and the door handle do notb flash.
When i unlock the car , the green led on the mirror and the door work fine.
But the car will not start, engine turns fine .
Does any one else have the same prob. or help to resolve.??

could be the immobiliser kicking in

have you tried changing the remote key fob batteries for new ones ?

when you say 'green' flashes, do you mean all on its own or what ?

also, try turning the steering while starting...

I Only get the green light flashing when u unlock the car.
The red led does not flash when you lock the car.
