I'm new to the forum, I'm trying to find a garage in Edinburgh that can repair or replace my faulty wiper motor.
My windscreen wiper has stopped working and its been diagnosed as a faulty motor.
Does anyone know of a garage I could contact or where I could source the part any where in the UK.

If a new part is still available from suppliers then I would suggest any MB indy, or talented garage with a good rep for working on Merc. Phone them up and book your car in for the work, they can order the part and do the work. This is likely the most expensive route, garages often put a mark up on parts they order and also do not always get the best prices as an owner might who shops around looking for the best price.

However, due to the responses in this thread so far this makes me wonder if the part is no longer available as new, hence the recommendations for breakers yards. A good one will be able to track the exact part to your chassis or reg number so you get peace of mind that you are ordering the right part. I suggest starting with the recommendations above.

Once you have the part, then you need to get in touch with the garage again and ask them to fit it.

Given he says he's not mechanically minded and wants a garage to do it anyway I'd get them to source it. Many garages won't fit owner sourced parts as it creates them issues if it doesn't fit.
