Hey guys,

Had a wonderful example of the Mercedes C63 AMG!!! The vehicle is completely stock with no other modifications! Of course the ECU came out as this is the correct way of tuning the Bosch ME9.7 and is also the safest! After taking a full clone of the vehicle we road tested and data logged the vehicle then proceeded to a GPS dyno run in which the figures where spot on (Give or take a couple of horse).

Gary worked his magic with the file and I added the tune to the ECU on the bench, we then proceeded to take the vehicle out and data log again at let everything get up to temps. GPS dyno after the tune showed 517bhp!!! We are very happy and the customer is also very very happy!

The noise these things make is incredible, especially after tuning as that's one issue with them C63 AMG is in the stock file you never get 100% throttle opening!

Here are some pics:

Great results, first time I have heard of a gps Dyno.....had a quick google search and they look pretty cool.
Would be interesting to compare with the results of a Dyno dynamics in shoot mode.
The standard C63 respond so well to a re map so I am sure the client would have been impressed.

We have tested gps as we use gps for motorsport testing virtually no difference 1 and 2 bhp that's it... its gps so point a is always point a and point b us always point b. There is 100% no trickery in gps either unlike dynos where 1 can read great and the other not so much. Plus the fact you are getting true real time reading in regard to air flow, resistance and air pressure that on a dyno you just can achieve.

Sounds the business. Like you say 1 Dyno reads different to the other.
Mine ran 536bhp on 1 Dyno and 500bhp on another after a remap.

What did the car run at before mapping it?

I am intrigued now with the gps Dyno.....does it measure torque?

It's ran a 447 stock. Yes I measures torque remember to is a calculation. We will try and get some videos of of gps testing then you can see how it works and why it's the most accurate means of testing.

It also allows for track telemetry and 0-62mph and 0-100-0 for a full range of testing! Its a very handy tool!
