I thought i had a solution by accessing a brake cable junction under the rear seats. The video looked simple enough but when I tried to lift the rear seats the video obviously did not apply to a cabriolet.

please help

The switch at the top on the release can stick. Contact cleaning lubricant is your friend

Hi had similar problem with my 270 clk previous owner had put a spring attached to pedal which worked but did not actually fix problem .My local indy stripped parking brake quadrant near back axle and told me it was due to being an automatic and only using park .After he freed it up no spring needed and I make sure to use parking brake (well sometimes) hope this might help.
