Mercedes diesel hard to start

Hi
Can anyone help, I have a Mercedes CLA diesel
2016 which is hard to start.
It was running fine till one morning I turned key
Quickly without waiting a few secs. It wouldn't start but did on 2nd try and subsequently after this it only starts after 6-10 attempts and the engine light is on

Once started it drives fine. I think I must have caused a problem as it has always started 1st time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds very much like you've lost power to the glow plugs.

Have error codes read for some kind of answers.

Haven't taken to auto electrician yet

Any eml needs the codes read.
If you are handy invest in one - it will pay for itself immediately.
