Hi, I have an E220 Cabriolet on a 1995 N reg, the trip meter has stopped working, only the last digit on the trip meter goes round very slowly, however speedo and odometer are functioning just fine. Any ideas?

Had a similar issue with mine... kept making a clicking sound when it bounced back from the one number... I pushed the trip reset switch a couple of times and it sorted itself out.

Maybe someone else will give you a more technical answer. :)

sometimes the bar that the digits are mounted on slides sideways untill it stops working, worth a look. if it is, it can be fixed. it may otherwise be a cracked digit that slips on the shaft, not really fixable.

Yes it could be a lazy slide bar as one is going around,,nothing works when the gear wheel splits,,though there is someone out there who sells new ones
