Hello members,
Had a E350 CDI in for Stage 1 remapping.
While we let the car get rid of residual heat on the dyno while also running diagnostics and all of our pre checks on fluid levels, Dif, visual inspections, tyres, tyre condition and pressures etc.....
Being an earlier model this requires ECU to still be removed and that's when the fun began! Running EDC17 CP01 this is the first generation of EDC17 to be used in Mercedes Diesels.
ECU retainer clip had been broken and some of the wheel arch trim holds also missing.
The tune was very poor that was on it! Lazy manipulation of fuelling, almost nothing touched as far as boost, only a couple of torque limiters set and parts of the DTC table missing/deleted.
The issue with DTC being removed is we don't know what they had been trying to hide so wasn't sure what would rear its ugly head! Thankfully tuned correctly nothing came up.
After many runs, logs and sweep tests with multiple tweaks to the software we gained an extra +54bhp and +144nm of torque.
Below are shots and plots

Many thanks
