Mercedes E350 CDI Stage 1 remapping software upgrade!

Afternoon members

We had a very well kept E350 CDI come in for Stage 1 software calibration and it responded very well as we have come to expect with these power plants.

This was the first of these to get the EDC17 CP46 management found in the 265bhp models which means full actual READ of the ECU via OBD port.

We got the E class in the dyno cell, shut the doors and hit it with some fresh cool air for 20-25 minutes to peel a load of heat so we could bring it back up ourselves and hold it at what ever level we wanted rather than fighting with excess temps the whole time.

Is nice to do this as it gives us a chance to get the kettle on and have a good chat with the customer before hand.

Stock she made 250bhp and 600nm and after extensive calibration and 15+ runs we settle on 316bhp and 724nm of torque which we and the customer are very happy with.

I'm based up in Cumbria. Almost on the border to Scotland. Have thought about getting the e250 remapped but heard a few horror stories around this spec of car but after seeing your posts and improvements make me thinknits a 800 mile round trip worth it haha

Yes my friend we tune these all the time!

GAD North is Newcastle based buddy so much closer than us!
