Hi everyone!
Have we got here mercedes self levelling air suspension experts? Would like to have some advice guys. So i own w212 e350cdi estate and i'm experiecing an issues with rear air suspension, first car sits 3cm lower on rear passenger side and second the rear goes down when parked on uneven surface if it is parked on nice flat even surface it stays up and never goes down, at first i tought it might be levelling sensors so i replaced both rear ones but i used second hand ones, that did help for like two weeks but it started to sink down again, another thing i noticed is that sometimes when i park it up leave the car it lowers it self a little bit by releasing air then after it does that i know 100% it will go down on it's ass pretty soon. i have also replaced valve block with new original mercedes but that didn't make any difference. so basically if it's parked on uneven suface it goes down but if parked on even surface it stays up no problem, maybe some one had similar issue and could give me some advice, also planning to buy icarsoft mb diagnostic tool to help diagnose this but there is not that much you can do with it, all i could do with it is to see live data from levelling sensors

Sounds like a leak from one of the air bags. When on the level it could be self sealing, and doesn't leak, but on uneven surface they will be inflated to different degrees, possibly exposing a split,

As above airbags leaking I’d replace them both, we’ve had those symptoms of leakage on uneven ground numerous times it’s a characteristic of the fault. MB seems to have had a manufacturing/batch problem with early 2010/11 cars the times I’ve seen them parked up with their rear on its haunches in fact the last one I saw was in the village where I live it’s so common

I agree with Malcolm.
You are probably doing well if they have lasted 10 years -- they are just rubber filled with air under high pressure. They are constantly flexing. They don't have as hard a life as tyres but they still must perish and split.

The units in my late 2011 car were leaking badly after only 5 years !!

I had the same problem, but I found it was not the air bags it was a small hole in the pipe work from the compressor to the air bags
Once I found the leak I got a small push in connector cut out the damaged pipe and joined the two ends back it was a cheap £2.50 fix

Great stuff, well done.
It is always worth checking the air lines. I have heard of others where the air lines chaffed against the body and developed leaks. Doing a soapy water check along the air lines should be the start of the investigation.

Changed air springs but that didn't help, will get air lines replaced
