The car Pulls like a train but as soon as we hit around140mph the car seems to slow down and feels like it taking ages to get to 180mph. I can say I was very disappointed and maybe thinking this was the wrong car to do this project! But With Further Data logging it seems the IAT were rising rapidly and causing the car to pull back on power. This was caused with the system having air in the turbo system and require further bleeding.

Next step is to fit the TTE turbos. TTE have had their car tuned in Germany and have made 888bhp and around 1250nm tq. So hitting the 900 bhp should not be a problem and with meth /race fuel maybe 950 bhp.

I will Test the TTE turbo setup on vmax and see if we can break the 200 mph which in theory should not be a problem.

I have also purchased the Weistec W4 Turbos Setup which will be here in a few weeks. On 20psi they are hitting 1000 bhp. The turbos can be pushed to 50 psi and capable of hitting 1400 bhp. I don't think the stock engine can handle much more then 1000bhp. The W4 Turbos are VERY Expensive and don't see anyone else doing them in the UK.The TTE Hybrid Turbos are affordable and should make good safe power for daily use. The W4 Turbos have a lag on spool up and will not be good for the 1/4 mile but they will be awesome 1/2 to 1mile plus events.

Quick update

I got a Few pictures ready need to update the thread ! Engine is out need to start the fitting but been busy with other jobs and on the 11th we are at the NEC at Autosports Show so trying to prepare for that as it is the first time we are doing something like this, Also Im fitting a new supercharger to the Black Series and hope to push 1000bhp......

Acid may correct me but W4 turbos were fitted to this one and it ran 1000bhp, but I believe was sold on. The TTE’s went on mine and are at 920bhp 970lb/ft. It ran 197mph at VMax a couple more of weeks ago in hot conditions with a strong headwind (most regular VMaxxers were 10-15mph down). It was 6th highest speed of 61 cars and ran it without the aid of Meth.

No need just interested. It's how I benchmark my cars after I have taken them to SP etc.

He's fine and doing OK though currently driving a Skoda.

The family were all pretty shook up at the time and it was his wife's suggestion that they replace the MB with something which wouldn't attract as much attention. I've not seen him for a couple of months but we try to keep in touch with text messages.

Oh, he still has a couple of interesting motor bikes...

From what I recall the car was well specced but Daveenty can probably recall better....

The car was recovered virtually undamaged and bought by MSL Performance in Birmingham. It was then hugely modified with bigger turbo's etc and reached the intended target of 1000bhp

After that I believe it was sold on, whether still modified or taken back to stock I don't know. Again, Daveenty will probably know the full story and its whereabouts.

Thanks. Yes I've spoken to the current seller, only the remap and catless dp's remain. Stock suspension. But I'll probs pass on it, the price isnt really a bargain.

Cool to get some background on it though!
