Good drills that man, another classic example of a proper Engineer. Bridges, tunnels, railways, ships. I did like his early kettles subsequently copied by the nuclear bunch at scale.

Read an interesting discussion on submariners the other day and how H&S would not allow it today. RAMS - RA we do sweet FA, loss with all hands. MS - we follow first principles, undertake repair and surface, all hands safe. A visit to the Pompey Museum is well worth a visit.
