I've found where all the old 123s and 124s go to die - it's Gambia. I have never seen so many old Mercedes in my life and a great percentage of them are taxis. Apparently, the MB dealers over there buy used 123s and 124s from Europe and sell them in their dealerships and tend to go for the equivalent of about £2K depending on condition.

I sold a C reg 190, it was given to me. I put it on ebay for £1 and sold it for £160.

The chap that collected it was from egypt, he said he would cut the roof off, cut it in the middle between the doors and ship it to egypt where it would be a taxi.!!!!!
