So It's pretty much a waste of time. It's only really any good when your cars parked on your drive. Not sure which cars allow you to turn the heating on inside the car but if you've got to be within 10m then that's pointless as well.
Who would even bother doing it when your that close to been in your car.
As for the door locking system, if someone's trying to open the doors on your car and your 10m's away your proberly going to know about it anyway.

Like what?
Telling me the Fuel level, again pointless. You need to be in your car to refuel.

It really is plug and play. I've blanked off the Adapter ID and VIN.

Plug in, connect to the adapter in the Bluetooth settings on your phone, open up the App and select add new vehicle. Turn engine on when prompted. It does the rest itself. Top tip - turn COMAND off whilst you do it as mine wouldn't configure the vehicle until I did. Must be due to also connecting via Bluetooth.

Once up and running. As I'm on a .5 of a mile it's rounded it to 76467 miles.

When you switch off it tells you voltage and how long since last run

Looks like a good piece of kit carl, what features do you actually get then?
Can it park your car, unlock the doors, turn on your heating? Or is that just cars with it factory fitted?

I've been tempted by this, but I'm not sure if it's worth popping in.

Carl, could you do a review of it once you've had a tinker and a play with it please? :)

You only get those features if you have a modern car with it factory fitted. You need built in wifi for that I'm led to believe.

Some screenshots from the App.

Still telling me about the vehicle.

Route vehicle took whilst driving. Although I was stationary the equipment on camp can play havoc with GPS signals. Detail here is dependent on what you set it for in the settings.

Refuelling reminder in settings. The app will record any fill ups you do, location, amount put in and cost if you have the price in the app.

What's your thoughts then carl? Is it useful or just a novelty that you will proberly never use?

First thoughts from what I've seen is that it would be a novelty for me.

Personally I wouldn't use the app to check how much fuel was in the car, again with the mileage unless im checking it to tell my dealer for a valuation or to work out what service is needed I don't even check it.
The reminder about parking time isn't bad, but I'd more than likely forget to put my details in to ever use it.

To be honest most of it is a novelty. But I will get some use out of it. More because I've paid £45 for the adapter! Lol

I like the function of being able to check the cars location it was parked, useful if visiting new places, and ready access to battery and fuel levels. Assuming you're close enough to the car.

Would be better if the Adapter had a data connection to give you live info anywhere. But that would have made it prohibitively expensive so can understand why it doesn't.

I suppose for £45 it's not the end of the world if it becomes something you only used every now & then. Teesside have one adaptor left & are keeping it for me.

It would of been a great piece of kit If it had been able to open & lock the doors, even if the lights flashing function worked so you know where the car is. Them features would of been good.
