It would of been a great piece of kit If it had been able to open & lock the doors, even if the lights flashing function worked so you know where the car is. Them features would of been good.

But those features would require a data connection.

Not really much to review.

It records all your journeys which is useful. Will record fuel fill up automatically as long as it's over 10ltrs.

As said it's a bit of a novelty and I like to have it, even if I don't use it much than want to use it and not have it.

I really am NOT trying to justify the expense. Honest......

Yup it does. Takes all of 2 seconds to do. 2 mins if they have to register the car for you as well. You can do that over the phone yourself though with the VIN.

I had an A6 as a hire car last week and I really didn't like it. Since moving to MB I've found it's spoilt my appreciation of Audis.

I quite like our A5 V6 quattro, its a bit of a beast, and handles well, we've done 110,000 miles from new, and no actual problems as yet.

Would you say it's easier/better to go to my dealer while I'm off work for the holidays or do it online with the aid of my resident geek?

You need the dealer to register the car to your account. Easy to do over the phone and you just need the VIN for your car. If it's the dealer you bought the car from they should have that anyway.

As you have a new car you should have a lot more features as it's all built in assuming you have COMAND
