Hi All,

Just put my details into the online service system to get a quote and it's come up with auto gearbox service due. This was done last year at main dealer and I have print out of this and all other services stating it was done.
Anyone else come across this?

Thanks

I got my new ( to me ) 2014 220 E class last week, and amongst the hard copy service history was listed " Transmission Fluid Change" @76902 Miles on 28.12.2016. Yet, this does not appear on the service sheet that was downloaded in my local MB Dealership from the key during the week...since then, 3 and a half years elapsed and 54'000 Miles travelled according to the hard copy sheets, but no record of a transmission change carried out since,,,,,( in any case, I'm going to change it anyway,,,SOP ) So the scenario is:- If it has been changed according to the schedule ( 40'000 Miles ), then its not due its next change for another 26'000 Miles. But, if if it has NOT been changed, then its already 15'000 ( approx ) overdue... And I have no way to find out if it has been done or not..even taking a sample of the fluid will not tell me much about how long it is in the transmision.
Another piece of information that was listed in the service sheets....On 18.10.2019, @125370 Miles, $181OP54C92 10 "Update engine control unit software" I guess that this was part of the recall due to the emission scandal? As the car is new to me, I cannot tell if it's performance and fuel consumption is affected. But it seems to be driving fine, so far at any rate. But I have read reports from other MB forum member's that they have noticed diminished performance and increased fuel consumption...anyone else have this experience? Had I owned the car back then, I don't think that I would not have allowed this particular update.

It is quite common for MB dealerships not to update service history properly on the electronic records. Same happened to me this year, I was getting re-quoted the gearbox change even though carried out last year.
I brought this to the dealers attention and hey presto it was corrected!

It really strange that this happen's,,,because for sure you will pay for it at the dealership LOL.. When the car arrives at the garage, a job card is created, and used to draw parts from the stores, so everything used is entered into the computer, and when the service is completed, the same file is used to calculate and print the invoice. So its on record. So how does it NOT get back to MB? I always thought that MB ( and other manufacturers ) used a global computerised system to track and monitor its vehicles, and especially for warranty work, when it becomes apparent that there is a manufacturing / design fault ? As posted above, I have a hard copy of a transmission fluid change, yet it does not show electronically on a downloaded report? Strange,
