Bumper paint

read this with interest. Does anyone know where I get the colour code for the bumper and side tims. The car is Bornite Metallic and the bumpers are slightly 2 tone. I cannot find the colour code anywhere for them.

One paint code that is missing from all these lists is the wheel colour Titanium Siver (Titansilber), which is used on a lot of wheels (including mine ).

The MB code is 765 or 9765 (depending on paint supplier).

The Mercedes dealer doesn't supply it, and just offer Brilliant Silver as a "near match".

Had to do a small paint job, went to Halfords with the Mercedes number 693, a guy mixed the paint for an aerosol can and would you believe it, a perfect match. for £ 14.99 for 300ml Can.
Quite impressed as Traventine Silver Beige is not an easy colour to match.
Main Dealer price more expensive and not in stock.
So a few Brownie Points for Halfords this time.

Thanks for posting that. I've got to order some paint tomorrow so it was useful to be able to double check I'd got the right colour.

I used a Russian Mercedes VIN decoder which quoted the paint code, which confirmed I'd got the correct one off the sticker on the car.

You will be very lucky if it matches up mines like chalk and cheese.From MB dealers .And other places nothing like my car colour.

Apart from Halfords, who else mixes aerosol paint for cars?

Is there a big difference in same colour shades, there are at least 4 Blacks, Mine is 040. there is a couple of metalic blacks, would one of the other blacks make a big difference if I used a Black door with a different colour code ? I ask because I could do with another door (Drivers) I have been looking for a while now for one in Black, colour code 040.
