CLS 300D
Dear all, any news on Mercedes fitting the PHEV power units from the new E class to the CLS the 300de and 300e for later this year or in 2022 ?

I have had C class, E class GLC and now a 2019 CLS 300d I would take another CLS but the lack of the PHEV power option is making me lean towards a new A7 or BMW 4 series, both of which offer sate of the art PHEV options, the A7 with a 50 mile 80 km electric range.
I do like the CLS styling, but the E class is not for me.

I do a lot of short runs but some long runs beyond pure electric range, and don't fancy looking around for the limited charge points available, most Hotels are have no charge points and the few that do are TESLA charge points. I think purchasing a non Hybrid or PHEV in 2022 will be pouring money down the drain. The mild hybrid offering by Mercedes is really a little joke.

Kind Regards
