Interesting. Can't quite decide yet whether I like it or not, on some level it's intriguing but somehow you just know it's wrong... ;-)
AFAIK the 'original' shooting brake concept was indeed two-doors like this one, so kudos for that, but personally I prefer the approach of the new CLS or the Jag XF which are a bit closer to an estate.
On a philosophical point, when is a two-door shooting brake just a coupe hatchback? I can see why the marketing dept would rather call it the former, but aren't we talking about the same thing really?
looks wrong to me. the whole point of an SL is to enjoy OPEN AIR motoring bbut with the luxury of a hard top. the folding roof arrangement is gone with that set up as it has nowhere to hide away
