Mercedes SL280

[Hans Solo5]

Hello

Im having the bolster on my Mercedes repaired and wanted to ask if anybody has a colour code for the Grey Leather interior from a 1997 SL280, In the book it states "Grey" no code, the exterior is 744 Brilliant Silver.

Has anybody come across the issue before or is it a case of just colour matching by eye as best you can.

A long shot I know, appreciate any help.

If you have an embossed plate on the front slam panel it may have the code there. It will be a three digit code above the 744.
Failing that post the VIN and see if someone here can get more detail.

268 Orion grey looks like the only number that works.

Yep I'd go with 268 as well.

The 744 refers to body colour (lower) and body colour (upper).
I've yet to figure out exactly what that means but on mine (which is same as yours with 744/744) the lower section of the door is the same as the rest of the body (i.e. the plastic cladding).
