Reminds me of a couple of Yorkshire Post editions a few years back. The first, Friday nights, had a picture and article about the owner of a local rugby club proudly presenting his star player with his prize of the use of the owners shiny new Ferrari for the weekend for scoring lots of trys or something. I looked at the article and the photo of this rugby playing genius and thought, 'It'll end in tears'.
Sure enough Monday's edition had a photo of a wrecked Ferrari looking forlorn on the back of a recovery truck.
It's hardly surprising. If you have such a car permanently I guess you can explore it's capabilities slowly over time as and when conditions permit, but if you've only got it for the weekend or just that evening, you're naturally still going to want to try it out, only you won't be able to choose how and when but rather take your chances. The results are farily predictable.
