Mercedes Sprinter Central Locking

Hi Folks,
I have been having an issue with my mercedes sprinter LWB 2011 central locking and I'm hoping someone could shed some light on the issue.

When I lock the vechile the drivers door locks only, I initially replaced the passenger side actuator 2 months ago as I thought this may have been the issue. After replacing the actuator it made no difference, after googling around I found a reset with key fob which worked.

RESET PROCUDURE I USED
1. Insert fob and turn to first position.
2. Hold the open button for 6 secs
3. Remove fob and press lock button on fob .
4. Immediately after pressing lock button press open button rapidly until central locking starts working.

This would work then if the vechile was left unlocked for say 10 mins or more it would return to not working again, only drivers door would work.

I would continue this procedure over the next month or so whilst working on my camper conversion and it would intermittently ie work not work, sometimes the doors wouldn't lock or not open at all, I removed the battery terminals for a few hours and reset the central locking again and it would work.

Now it will no longer reset, just the drivers door would lock everytime. I decided that I would replace the drivers door actuator also but has made no difference.

I have checked all the wiring loom and connections/ fuses and all are good, I'm hoping someone in here can shed some light on the issue as I have exhausted all avenues I know of.

Hi,
Yeah tried all that but since posting and replacing the drivers actuator it seems to be working

So I fitted the actuator and tried the resync above and it didn't work, went for a coffee came back and it was locked! I unlocked the doors, both driver and passenger doors unlocked, side and back didn't, I unlocked it a second time and both side door and back doors unlocked also. I have tried it several times now and all seems to be working but won't hold my breath, the inside dash button which would lock before but not open, its now working also with the added bonus of the red led even coming on WTF?

Is this how the doors are meant to operate?

Is the battery in good condition?

On the 639 if one of the rear doors isn't seen as closed by the SAM it doesn't lock any of the 3. So I check which door isn't recognised as closed. Different to yours though it would still lock the front 2 doors.

Yeah brand new battery, I'm thinking the side door might have been the issue as the bottom bracket that pulls the door in is slightly damaged, I removed the bracket temporary and it still works fine, I'm thinking the side door might not have been engaging properly as the door after close inspection looks as though it might have been damaged previously, I did replace the snake loom on the door when I first got it as sombody had cut it off.

Looks like the door has been botched as well as a bit of rust its not flush and has a slight bevel on the side skirting, think I will replace the whole door at some point in the near future.

So all has been working fine for around 3 weeks and now it's back to doing the same thing. Both passenger and drivers doors have new actuators so that eliminates them, the back door lock was sticking and not opening so I adjusted the bracket and has been working since before it stopped again, I'm now at the point of thinking about installing 3rd party locks but my issue with this is the back door I need to be able to open it incase of emergency so dead lock is a no no whilst in the vechile, could the Sam Module be the issue?

Starting to clutch at straws as it is random
