Hi
Im relocating permanently to france within the next 3 months .
I have a beautiful w124 e220 convertible at the moment i have for sale.
If i dont sell im considering taking the car with me.
The issue i have are the headlights, can thay be adjusted? or would i need to put lnd units in to comply with french regulations, i would need the car to pass a ct / french mot test to put the car on french plates, has anybody any experience of this.

Thanks

Quite a few threads on the subject here - as well as the headlights the fog light will be on the wrong side
Second hand units from Germany are a common solution for the headlights

When I went to France by car, I was told that I must buy stickers on the ferry to adjust the lights. They stick to the front lights. Easy to use and easy to remove after I got back.

Visiting is very different to moving there permanently, it needs to pass the French equivalent of our MOT and it won’t do that with beam deflectors

I would suggest taking it and swapping the headlights.
If it's 30 years or older it will come under classic car regulations so an MOT (equivalent) every 5 years not 2.

Also cars in France are expensive....
