Can anyone please help me? I have no luck with cars at all but I got a c160 a week ago and for the last couple of days the drivers side wing mirror light stays on constantly. If the car is locked it is continuously flashing? If I indicate right it ticks really fast but all lights are working fine.
I’m so stressed because I’m so worried it’s going to cost a lot to fix. Can anyone help? Please

Hi and welcome to the forum. What year is your car?

Did you buy it from a dealer (as opposed to private sale)?

Not at all Katy. It sounds like you have a simple electrical fault, a bad earth maybe, that needs looking at.
Whereabouts are you located in case someone can suggest an independant MB tech take a look at it?

Oh Thankyou, that’s made me feel better. I honestly appreciate your help so much. I can’t tell you how much cars have caused me to cry in the last month. I live in Haverhill, SUFFOLK.
I’m so grateful Thankyou so much. I do have one more question if you don’t mind?

The Center console armrest has come off and won’t fix back on, it doesn’t seem to be broken. It’s just the top bit not the whole thing so like the arm has come off and I can’t get it back on? Any ideas?
Sorry for all the questions.

I'm sure Alex or the guys at Welwyn Merx would fix it for you. Don't worry about questions, that is what this place is for.
Don't lose any sleep over the indicator, it should be possible to fix quickly and inexpensively.

Can someone help please? I have a similar problem to the member that started this thread on my 2005 E270 CDI Avantgrade saloon.

When the offside wing mirror is extended and I put the indicator on it flashes rapidly indicating that either the bulb has blown or the connection inside the mirror casing is not linked.

However when I push the retraction button on the adjustment switches, as the mirror retracts the indicator starts to flash normally. When the retraction is reversed and the mirror extended the connection breaks and the indicator once again flashes rapidly.

I have checked the bulb unit and it works and I have placed a new unit into the mirror case and still have the same problem.

AMGeed suggested an earth problem or a broken wire. Any thoughts on where the earth problem might be located.

Am still looking at the wires and they seem to be OK.

Could it be a relay problem in the SAM unit?

Any help must appreciated.
Thanks
