Mercedies Clk 230 2000 Model Wheels

Hi, Ive just purchased my first Mercedies Clk 230 2000 model, it is totally standard and has the 16" wheels on it Im looing to upgrade the wheels nut wish to stay standard, if I get the 18" AMG 5 spokes are the rear's wider and can anyone advise me on what tyre sizes should be looking for as im looking at a few second hand sets,
