What is other name for Metering Unit, trying to get part number but no one knows what metering unit is?

... so my best guess is that you mean the MAF sensor which, on a 3 litre W126 is the mechanical flap device that sits under the air filter and depresses as the mass of air surging into the engine drives it downwards. Its downward movement turns a potentiometer as more air rushes in through the butterfly valve, thus telling the brains of the system the mass of air entering the engine.

Found it. It's the Air Flow Sensor and for my engine it has the part number: A1040740014. Post your VIN and someone will tell you your part number.
