Just turned over 5000 miles today in 8 months. Have to say the X Power, has been faultless. Absolutely loving it so far.
:)

A few gratuitous pics. (Any excuse) ;):)

Just factor in the price of installing a home charger - without even adding the cost of solar panels and a power wall! I'm currently looking at installing one as my daughter had bought a Skoda Karok 60 and will need to visit from 125 miles away, seems I'm looking at between £750-1k just for a 7.4kw charger (I have 3 phase) just for the charger!
I just put a 5kw system on our barn in France..
4.5kW of panels - £606
6.2kW parallel Inverter - €298
5kW 50v 100Ah battery - €799

Mounting kits and miscellaneous cables etc came to £200.

That system is single phase but can be paralleled up to 3 inverters running 3 phase (our house in France is also 3 phase so this system is off grid and used to run an ASHP to heat the pool in summer, house in winter.

Well I balanced the negative references from owners by a positive, range anxiety is real though, especially if you live in a rural place such as Siberia, not too many chargers around...

That sounds like a typical anti-EV argument

"I live in Essex, where there are loads of chargers, but I can't buy an EV because there aren't many chargers in Serbia...".

Although in fact, there are lots of chargers in Serbia...

But I do agree that people should definately be allowed to buy what they like - I am a huge EV fan, but don't think people should be FORCED into buying one.

Well, you are being forced into buying ICE cars with heaps of performance deadening anti-pollution equipment. If you think about it, it's just the next step in anti-pollution. I do understand your thinking though.

To be honest my wife has a 2017 mg3 and I service it myself and to be fair it has stayed well screwed together no real issues with it apart from being bright yellow, but that orange is something else,I do quite like the styling of mg4 but an e v ? I'm not convinced yet

Confusing Serbia with Siberia would definitely cause range anxiety

My colleague failed to make it into work again today.

Car failed to charge correctly again and there wasn’t enough range for him to give it to his Mrs and take her car.

He said the charge costs him £150 a month whereas fuel would be £800 so on that basis alone he’s sticking with it but otherwise he’d get ICE. If they only had one car in the house hold them it would be ICE.

Another with the BMW EV ditched for a new defender and now he can get around without having to consider charging, just get in and go.

£150 a month - what the heck is he doing!!!

Assuming it costs about £4.50 to charge - and that gives 300m or so - £150 is about 10,000m a month!!

Unless he is only using Rapid chargers - in which case I do question why he'd have an EV...

Mine costs me about £10-20 a month to charge - plus I allow about another £60 for the very occasional rapid when I need one - but then I was only spending around £250-£300 on fuel when I had a diesel so I guess I do less miles than he does.

If he's spending £150 a month on charging he needs to get a charger and a decent ev tariff.!

Got tyres fitted to me new alloys today.
Gone for budget tyres (£300) for the time being, as this is still a bit of an experiment, although don't foresee any problems. If everything's ok after a few months, I'll change to Michelin Pilot Sport 5s. :)

Two little mods, today. Door latch covers, smartens them up a bit. :)

And Armrest cubby hole tray, so you can put your biggish stuff under the tray and your small stuff in the tray. Tidys things up a bit. And lifts out easily. :)
