Hi, I have a 1989 2.0 190e.....
I have noticed today, that the mileage counter stopped working, so i re-set it hoping this would sort it out.... it was fine till it got to 1 mile and then stopped.... and every time i re-set it it gets near the 1 mile mark and then stops.... also i have noticed that when i turn the ignition key, the ABS light doesn't come on any more..... does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem??
Many Thanks

If the speedo is ok, then the problem must lie with the speedo head itself. They can be repaired but the cheapest option is to replace it with a used one. The ABS light will be the bulb.

Gather your talkin about the trip meter?

If so, then I would say that reset button spring has gone weak & is not slotting into teeth when reset button is released.

Had similar on an Ovlov & found that pushing in button to reset & sliding finger off button whilst fully depressed usually did the trick of getting spring to locate into tog more effectively.

Hope it helps Keith.
