Mini Cooper rear light Union Jack

An off the wall question here folks .
Was behind a Mini Cooper today and saw the Union Jack rear brake light , my question is does the car have the Union Jack rear light in Germany and other European countries or do they (BMW) change it to reflect local passions ?

Mrs L has it on hers, it started with the mid 2018 facelift. I think it’s just on the Oxford made cars (2 and 4 door hatch) so not the bigger Countryman and Clubman models which are made somewhere in Europe.

Another Flag feature on another car was the "Union" Style Alloys on the Rover 75. They were actually fashioned on the Union Flag.
But this wasn't as noticeable as the Rear Lights On the MINI. In fact largely went unnoticed!

My immediate thought was - how long has she been unconcious since your AJ type right cross, and maybe you need a bit more training! First draft would not have passed current PC rules!
