Is it right that the passenger mirror on the 230e 89',is diffirent shape to the drivers,eg more squarer.

Mine too, and before you think of getting an offside one from a left hand drive to make them match, forget it, Andy told me it wouldn't work when i was thinking of doing the same.

So Dave you reckon its something to do with convex and concave,'mmmmmm',Merc really do come up with some strange things!.

Hmm...

The nearest image I get is in my driver's door mirror. Next comes the windscreen-mounted mirror, and the furthest-looking is the nearside mirror. And its not just by a little bit, but very noticeable. There should be a notice on them, like in the US, saying - as appropriate -"Caution, objects may be further away than they appear/exactly where you think they are/nearer than you think".

That said, once you get used to them, it just seems like another endearing little Teutonic design feature. [See earlier posts on how the central locking is supposed tro work on a W107!]
