Ok I've seen Vins mirrors on his awesome C with the small repeaters in them, but I know someone has a Green C with the full length repeaters in them...Now is this the E-class mirror and does it fit straight on??

Who ever it is let me know....

Europarts do Indicator mirrors for the w202 , which might mean not changing the glass.

s'pose you want some details too...

EuroCarParts mirror shélls.  You pull off the old shélls and push the new ones on.  You need to wire them up using the included harness, or in my case get your bodyshop to wire them up using the old wing repeater wire then pull the wing repeaters off and weld the holes up

Mirror shélls == £100ish including VAT
Painting/Fitting and wing repeater removal == £350ish including VAT.

Looks nice when finished IMHO.

EDIT: it seems that "sh*ll" isn't allowed.

Mirrors with repeaters

So how did they come?

In a box, unpainted, with bulbs and a wiring loom for each side.

Are they easy to wire?

no idea, the bodyshop did it ;) .

Were they expensive to get painted..

Mine were painted along with the welded up sections of the wings so I don't know how much to just paint the mirror housings themselves.

Whats the quality of them??

Not that great, but not too bad.  I managed to remove someone else's door mirror completely with the nearside one when forced too close to a badly parked car and they only got a tiny scuff from it.  They have a couple of tiny stone chips on the paint now (had them done in January so it's not so bad) and there's a tiny chip taken out of the lens on one side, but you have to get really close and squint to see any imperfections.

Unfortunately because the door mirrors are one of the car's extremities they're more likely to be damaged by clipping stuff or people with shopping etc.

If you'd been at the gtg you could have poked them and seen them in action etc.
