It’s a torque management code. It’s probably because it’s been run with petrol in the system. Sadly the high pressure fuel pumps that we have now aren’t as tolerant of misfuelling as they used to be, but I’d be expecting a rail pressure fault if the pump was knackered. I don’t have a solution for you I’m afraid, but I’ll have a little look tomorrow for you, see if I can come up with any ideas

Thanks uncle Benz , not that I’m aware of the car being mapped but it initially had a low fuel pressure code when it first got recovered to me and then I took a fuel sample which evidently had petrol in it, then did a system drain, new fuel filter and refill of diesel, the code then cleared but this torque management code is present and reappear after a very short drive, thank again!

Mercedes standard line with misfuelling is that every component that has touched the incorrect fuel must be replaced. That’s tank, lines, pumps, rail, sensors and injectors. Replace the lot and undoubtedly it’ll be cured. Otherwise you are probably guessing. Is it putting the engine malfunction light on?

I thought it was the case to replace the lot just a little unsure, no engine light coming on just a little hesitant the original booking for the customer is a gearbox fault “snatching gears” which I’ve had in the past gear box oil and filter as part of device items but I want to cure the miss fuel issue before hand of that makes sense ?, I will have a chat with them and sounds like they are l going to pay the price thanks again?

Maybe outline Mercedes standard line on misfuelling to the customer and perhaps suggest they take it away and see if it settles down over a couple of weeks. You never know.

Yeah definitely, I’m going to briefly look into it tomorrow morning and give them the option and carry out the gear box service depending on their decision but it does drive fine just logged this fault that’s all thanks again!
