My ML270 cdi just will not start!!!

Have been reading other people's dilemmas and answers on a non-starting car, and have tried the majority of options given but no joy ... driving me crazy!!!
So any ideas at all please!
To cut a long story short .... Black muck around injectors so replaced some bits etc. Then for some reason the immobiliser kicked in and it meant the key wasn't being recognised, alarm kept going off and couldn't start car. Then made BIG mistake and let a local mechanic take her (my fault as just cannot afford MB garage prices here in France) and he ran diagnostics and key started the car. Hooray, I stupidly thought! He then said that the injectors were 'leaking', I needed to replace them all, other stuff was seriously wrong and started quoting crazy prices! Then in the next breath he said a customer of his had the same model and offered me a few euros to take it off my hands, for spares! Eventually got her back off him and over a month later I still have no car! Another mechanic replaced one injector, that was all that was needed. Then we discovered a few fuses had been removed! No fuel was coming up from the tank, checked for bubbles etc etc. Car turns over but won't start. Tested wiring and appears there is no power going into the fuel tank gizmo so I wonder if something has been cut somewhere or another explanation? Sorry if I haven't explained myself very well ....... hoping someone out there can shed some light. My mechanic hasn't even charged us as he is in a real quandary about this one and would welcome any ideas from people who know Mercs better than him! Thank you

Have you tried using a spray of Easy Start in the air intake to see if you are able to get the car started. It could be that the rail pressure is too low preventing the car starting. If this is the case a quick spray will enable the car to start then should run normally. You can then do a leak off test to see if any of the injectors have excessive leak off.

Does the engine have a lift pump on the front of the engine? If so it wont have an electric pump.

Before you do anything else you need to see if it has fuel pressure. If it has fuel pressure then you are looking at something to do with the injectors.

Will jot all these things down to pass on but as far as I am aware the injectors are fine, no leak, no air bubbles etc. The prob is that no fuel is coming up from the tank. Someone came up with an idea that this part has been immobilised (this model known for OTT security) and won't feed the fuel thru. I don't know :(
