ml 270 cdi heater

Hi Guys another newbie.
just purchased o4 ml 270 cdi, with two problems
1 heater will only blow cold but aircon appears to work also heat distribution only blows into footwell no matter where the knob is set (no heat at any time) both in and out pipes to heater feel hot and consistent with eng temp
2 rear wiper not working, sounds like motor moving, is there any linkage between motor and arm as wiper feels tight on spindle
any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome
I have searched and only found this

Cant be more help, hopefully someone else will have experience of heating circuits.

You could check the fuses I think that you heater should blow hot as soon as you start the engine due to an electrical pre heat system

Same with wiper, switch in on position fuse in & out to see if motor will run
