Ml 270 cdi rough when cold

Hi all,

Hi, the problem i have is that when its started from cold it just feels like im driving with the handbrake on, doesnt like to pull without flooring it and once moving if you let off the gas it seem s to feel like its braking.

once warm ( which takes about 20 mins to get just below 80 , sound right ?) its a totaly different drive, pulls away ok, sometimes maybe a little nothing,nothing, BOOST !!!! and once rolling doesnt feel like its braking when you let off the gas, just a much smoother ride. Hope you can help

Sounds like the inport shut off motor is seized to me, any light up on the dash Dan??

Would that be what I call the swirl flap motor if so you can see it moving when you rev the engine by hand and look down through the inlet manifold with out the engine covers
