ML 270 Rear Air Con A/C puff....

Hi,

Done a search of the forum, but could not find anything specific.

My 2002 ML 270 CDi's air con works fine in the front, but the the air blown out of the rear vents even with the fan up full is little or no use at all.

If I place my hands over the vents the air does come out of the gaps in the trim, so though that maybe a pipe has come off or some thing like that.

I have also been told, true or not, that the front heater control unit has a flap that controls the air flow to the back, so could this be something that is wrong.

Any thing I can look at / check - Novice DIY'er by the way !!!

Hi, may sound corny but check hand book settings for a/c in rear, I think as on mine you have to shut off upper screen and side and lower outlets and direct it at centre position ie; centre vents and open rear vents to get maximum effect ,it has to push it some way! give it a try! best wishes rap.
