Ml 320 2002- whine from behind the centre console, and water loss from radiator ?

Hi

Have been getting a whine from the centre console after i start the car when cold for a while now, the car is under warranty through my local Bmw dealership, took the car there this morning and on the way the whine stopped (typical), also have had to top up my radiator with 2 litres of fluid recently due to loss of water, they looked at it today and did a pressure test and found nothing also no whining noise when it was in to be checked !!

Hope someone out there can help !!
