Having bought a car with the third row, largely on resale grounds (we have used them twice, the first time a handle came off in my hand...) does anyone have any experience of removing them?

Once removed, are they easy to put back in? Dealer told me not to even think about it, but as they are in one piece (each) on a sort of hinge, I just wondered?

Would be useful get them out if only 4 of us use the car for a driving holiday.

You need to follow the instructions in the hand book to get them out. Fairly easy once you have done it the first time. Creates a massive space should you only need 5 seats.

Not had problems with handles falling off though.
