Ml headache

Hi,
I am having problems with my 2003 Ml 270. Starts fine and pulls well when cold. Then after a few minutes and you slow down no power above 30mph. Stop the car switch off and then restart and it runs okay for a while but then you can feel the power drop off above 60mph and then acceleration is slow and no power above 30mph. When running at around 55mph and trying to climb a hill you notice a few swirls of greyish exhaust smoke. No unusual engine noises but air cleaner slightly blackened and dusty. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

MAF. If poss get any fault codes read, but MAF at a guess.

The Turbo to pre-Catalytic convertor clamp breaks and black exhaust particles blow out and fill the engine compartment. As the air-filter hot air inlet is just in this area, the filter can get clogged. Also, depends on what caused the clamp to break, could be a blocked exhaust or the turbo valve atmospheric vent filter can get blocked leading to an error in the turbo charger control. Need to get codes read but check the clamp first, then clean the air filter and check the turbo valve filter.

I will say MAF (its easier) just unplug it and try the car
