Ml164 oil leak(om642)

Good evening
This morning I found a large oil puddle on the floor, offside front
There is oil on the offside of the engine, top to bottom
I cleaned it off and started the engine, nothing obvious
Engine oil level was correct, now slightly lower
The filler cap looks in good condition, but I wonder if I have crankcase pressure
Is this a problem at this milege 90000?

The common cause is the oil cooler seals but that usually manifests itself with a drip out of the rear of the undertray

Clean it up as you have done , then maybe remove the main engine under tray to see what's happening . The tray may cause the oil to travel before dripping out .

This morning I have removed undertrays and spring cleaned. The trays were oily below filler cap area
I think the oil came out of the filler cap, because there was oil inside the rubber funnel that seals the cam cover to the plastic engine cover
So I still wonder if crankcase pressure can cause this ?

I would think crankcase pressure could cause this , maybe check the pcv on the top back left of the engine as you face the car (for any leaks ?)
The rubber seal can weaken on the oil filler cap as well , I've just bourght a new MB one for £7.50 delivered .
Check that the dipstick hasn't been lifted which can happen with excess crankcase pressure .
