ML270 2002 - Stalls in Drive

Morning,

Will be going back to the Indie thisa afternoon, but..

Just collected it after having the Electro Plate replaced as the temp senso and speed sensors were showing faults..

Gear chages really nice and smoothe and changes at the right revs without issues now, and starts again after turning the ignition off...

But, drove home about 20 miles and when slowing down the auto box is not changing down, to the point it actually stalls !!

What could cause this, could the replaced electro plate have disturbed anything ?

Was fine when cold as it did not stall at the junction pulling out of the garage..

On a cold start the idle is higher, something is dragging causing the engine to stall when warm, it will have to go back

Possibly the torque convertor lockup clutch isnt releasing fully, what was the issu originially?

I would also say this is a nailed on TC fault.

As I hate posts that dont get updated....

Took the car back to the idie that fitted the Electro Plate, which by the way has resolved ALL my problems... :-

Holding on to gears longer
Not going in to top gear without a little nudge from the tiptronic.
Not re-starting after getting the gearbox hot and switching the engine off. Takes about 20-30 mins to cool down before it would re-start again.

Starter Lockout errors appearing on the gearbox..

The car did only stall and not change down the box ONCE, and ONCE only. Took it back to indie and no further errors were showing on any ECU component. Proper STAR machine was used..

The car has performed without fault, so can only assume this was a glitch from the repaire work taking place..

Fingers crossed, but I have completed a trip to York from Lichfield in staffordshire without a hitch, and the gearbox performs faultless.
