there are quite a few bumpers on e bay, but type W163 front bumper.
I still think your best option is having the one you have repaired.

There are clips broken, pieces of bumper missing, underneath the duck tape its a mess, it looks a lot better in pics than it is, I have been checking all the bumpers on ebay, and they are all in need of repair and repainting, when you zoom in on them.
so they want 150 -200+ for a broken bumper ,then its got to be repaired and resprayed,
I think that is too much money when I could buy a non runner being sold privately with a good bumper possibly the right colour for about £500 ish, Take off the £200 that I would be paying for a bumper, Then I have an ml as spares or sell parts to recoup the £300ish sunk into it.....I have seen a couple for sale at the right price but they are always on the wrong side of the country which makes collection or transport to costly to justify.
I am sure as long as I trawl social media and , gumtree/preloved/ebay car ads etc every day I will get the right bumper or complete car at the right price sooner or later !

Another one on the to do list, heard an alarm go off on car outside house at 10pm last night ,looked out of window and yes my ML !
Drove it round to accessway at rear of house to avoid annoying neighbours too much, Woken up at 5.30am by alarm going off again.
Any pointers would be appreciated including how to disconnect siren! in the meantime I will start trawling threads to find out alarm info!

You can turn the interior sensors or tow away alarm off by pressing the buttons just before you lock the door

Do you mean press the door buttons down on all passenger doors then lock drivers door manually?

As per John, you’ll have a button on the dash that you press just before getting out. Could be just a bug flying around inside

Button for tow away is above head by interior lights, but no indicator to show its on or off ?
seems to be the car has to be alarmed and standing for 5hrs or so before batteries fail (I presume)
so will probably find out if tow away button works later this evening !

Yes, on my 2003 MY it was located under wipers, pig of a job to get to.
Take a tip, I cut the wiring and extended it out into engine bay, re soldered and fitted a bracket near throttle block and fitted alarm there. Its a 30 second job to disconnect it and 5 mins to change.
This was because old one had failed and I took a chance on a 2nd hand one. Hence I wanted it easy to change. Has worked fine for nearly two years so was a good 15 quid spent.

been pressing towaway button every time I lock car and havn,t heard alarm go off since, so the alarm replacement is on the backboiler till better weather !
Ran the new MB11 diagnostics and got a lifetime of stored faults come up, noted them all, cleared them all and a couple of days of driving rechecked them yesterday.
only faults that reappeared were
three front bumper sensors duff, not suprising considering bumper is in pieces,
1 rear bumper sensor duff.
wondering if I put the one good front sensor into the bad back one, will the reversing sensors work or do front and back all have to work to get rear ones to work??
second fault that showed up was front right headlight wiring short,
I new I had a bad connection as I kept losing dipped light over bumps,
it was good to know mb11 picked it up, all fixed now(hopefully) with a twiddle of the connector ,
No other faults .

as far as i am aware, front and rear parktronic work independently of each other, meaning front can be faulty and rear work fine.
You could try swapping sensors, will not de any harm.
Rear bumper a doddle to get off, remove two covers and four bolts and it comes away.

Still not happy with the wispy smoke I can see from exhaust on tickover ,particularly in strong sunlight, when other cars in the mcd drive through queue have none! Going to do another leak of test on injectors just in case one Is worn out.
Also notice when changing offside headlight bulb , its a bit oily around area of turbo and on top of what I think is actuator, so next sunny day will take out air filter housing and pipes and have a good look and clean around turbo and associated pipes,
Forgot to mention , anyone in or near thanet in kent wants to use the MB11 on their car you are more than welcome.

Just went on eurocarparts for rear stabiliser/droplink reduced to £3 ish, thought must be mistake , put in discount code winter35 and reduced even more, may be rubbish brand but at that giveaway price its throwaway, so bought 4 for under a tenner .no harm in having a few spare !

See my threads on turbo oil leak. Sounds like you have same issue.
Just fitted a catch can to see if it resolves the issue.
Battled with it for months.
If you sort it out let me know

My thoughts were.
The oil is coming out of the rear of the compression chamber of the turbo. Only way oil can get there is from the breather system, hence catch can.
You may be lucky and its the orange seal at air intake on turbo which do leak, I thought my issue was that and changed it twice. But after about six times of stripping it down came to above conclusion.
