Ml270 Cdi Acceleration Problems

at regular interval whilst driving,car loses acceleration and goes to idle mode and does not accelerate over 40mph
any advise would be much appreciated

The first suspect is always the air flow meter (MAF) try disconnecting it and driving the car..

The first thing to check is; Was the replacement a GENUINE Bosch unit? There are a lot of fakes out there, which will cause similar problems to those you are experiencing.

could possibly be a genuine pierburg one on the diesel also, your problem could also be a blocked cat, inlet port shut off is also a cause of this fault,

rather than guessing and replacing needless parts get it checked out by an expert, only about £40 for good indie to put on comp and confirm air mass etc,
