Hi I have been lurking for a while, but due to lack of knowledge I have not posted anything.

However I wonder if someone could help please, having searched the forum, it appears the MAF could be the problem, of no kickdown, max around 3000 rpm, box changes up to motorway speeds slowley but gets there.

I have read here,to try disconnecting the MAF, which I have done with no apparent effect, therefore would this surgest it is the sensor or not.

Cheers Confused of Stratford.:-?

This is a hard one, short of trying another MAF as all carss do not respond in the same way. The only other thing is to have the fault codes read out by an indie with STAR

Thanks phoned the local Benz £99 to fault read.
£59 for the sensor so might just replace the sensor first and see what happens, the part guy said that he would have the fault looked at before replacing the sensor, as it may cause the new sensor to go US.

I have taken the MAF off and all looks OK the mesh is clean, no deposits anywhere, a very very small amount of oil? on the sensor itself but other that all OK.

Thanks Roy

Hi Television just looked at your site, would you have two knobs that release the backs on the rear seats, by any chance. 02 270cdi grey leather WDC 1631132a375187

Stratford upon avon Warwickshire

I think it may have been oil, but such a small amount and very thin if that makes sense.

The only one that I know is in Nuneaton, and that is a bit far, but he is very good and you would not be out of pocket
