Hello everyone,
It seems like my ML is falling to bits... It has now thrown off the belt, Can anyone give me a diagram as I don't have the luxury of making one... I have the belt and my 17mm ready, tried to work it out but have been at it for half on hour.
Thanks in advance
Martin

There will be a 'reason' for the belt being thrown. Check that all pulleys are free to turn, check that the one-way clutch on the alternator pulley is working.

The spring loaded belt tensioning pulley locks in a down position using a locking pin through the small hole just under the pulley (a small drill bit will suffice) to enable fitment of the new belt.

PS......Very much easier to remove/fit the belt from underneath the vehicle.
